Critical Care Protection
- $5,000 Coverage- Provides
additional income in the event of Life Threatening Cancer, Heart
Attack, Kidney Failure, Stroke, Coma, Coronary Artery Bypass, Loss of
Sight, Speech or Hearing, Major Organ Transplant, Paralysis or Severe
Burn plus the ABA National Health Card.
- Lost Income - Critical illness may prevent the primary
income provider from earning an active income. Disability
payments may not cover fixed household expenses. Yet insureds
continue to have financial obligations like mortgages, automobile
payments, etc.
- Uncovered Medical - (home healthcare, alternative therapy,
second opinion), Major Medical insurance and Health Maintenance
Organizations (HMO) plans may limit or not cover the type of care an
insured or his/her doctor requests, This plan gives
insureds the freedom to visit any doctor or specialist and/or to
obtain whatever type of treatment they desire.
- Retraining - If a critical illness has permanently impacted
the employability of an insured, the person may need to be retrained
for gainful employment.
- Child Care/College Tuition - Child care may need to be
provided during periods of hospitalization, and college tuition may
need to be paid.
- Changes to Quality of Life - Permanent affilctions of an
insured may impact quality of life. Alterations to a home or
workplace may be necessary to ensure the continuity of a good quality
of life.
- Travel Expenses - Travel to and from specialized treatment
facilities may be necessary.
- Major Insurance Carrier - policy is underwritten by a major
insurance carrier.
